Jean was born September 25, 1925 to Frank and Eva Paden in St. Joseph, Missouri.
He graduated from Benton High School in 1943.
Jean was a Veteran of World War II, serving in the United States Army in the Phillipines, Japan and New Guniea from 1943-1946 with a Honorable Discharge.
He worked at Quaker Oats for 41 years, retiring in 1988 as a Machine Operator and in later years as a Mason.
Jean was a member of Wyatt Park Baptist Church since he was twelve years old. He served as a Deacon and a Sunday School teacher.
He belonged to Charity Zeredatha Lodge #189, Pony Express American Legion #359, 32nd Degree Scottish Rite and Quaker Oats Quarter Century Club.
He was preceded in death by his parents; twin brother, Dean; sister, Charlotte and husband Clinton Pons of Florida.
He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Elda; sons, Mike Paden (Carrie) of Columbia, Missouri, Doug Paden, St. Joseph, Missouri; daughter, Kathy McPheeters (Galen), Agency, Missouri; seven grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
Services: 3:00 P.M. Monday, Meierhoffer Funeral Home & Crematory. Interment Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 2:30 P.M. Monday, Meierhoffer Funeral Home & Crematory, where friends may call after 11:00 A.M. Monday. The family suggests memorial gifts to Wyatt Park Baptist Church.
