Norma was born on July 4, 1942 in Trenton, Missouri to Robert and Lorraine (Vandevender) Jones. She graduated from Trenton Junior College for Nursing in Trenton, Missouri and received her bachelor's degree from University of Maine and her master's degree from the University of Phoenix. Norma was also a member of the Missouri Nursing Association.
Norma married Robert Ray Sollars on November 6, 1988 in St. Joseph. He survives of the home.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and former husband, Ronald Dale McClure.
Additional surviving family includes children, Constance Jean (Eric) Christy, of Trenton; Ronald Robert McClure and significant other, Donna Stevens, Gilman City; Billy Ray (Carla) Sollars and Marvin Wayne (Ashley) Sollars, both of St. Joseph; Patty Jo McMahon, Savannah; sister, Carolyn Henry, Climax Springs, Missouri; 10 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Services 12:00 Noon Saturday, January 26, 2013 at Heaton-Bowman-Smith & Sidenfaden Chapel. Interment Memorial Park Cemetery.
Visitation will begin after 3:00 PM Friday at our chapel, where the family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 PM Friday evening.
The family suggests memorial contributions to the Central Christian Church or the American Cancer Society.
