Mary Etta Anderson, 77, St. Joseph, Missouri died Tuesday, January 22, 2013 at Heartland Regional Medical Center.
She was born May 11, 1935 to Roy Bernard and Margaret Merrigan in Clyde, Missouri.
She married Robert E. Anderson on February 11, 1956. He preceded her in death on April 22, 1998.
Mrs. Anderson was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church where she served as an usher and was a member of the Altar Society.
Mary loved to dance and sing and was a very good cook.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Robert Anderson; son, Shawn Douglas Anderson; sister, Phyllis Lynch; and brother, Joseph Merrigan.
Survivors: two daughters, Deborah Anne Anderson of St. Joseph and Denise Renee Olson and her husband Dennis of Amarillo, Texas; grandchildren, Derek Olson, Bronson Anderson, Brittney Anderson and Roman Anderson; siblings: Donald Merrigan, Colorado Springs, Colorado, Darlene Stoll, Stanberry, Missouri, Robert Merrigan, Kerrville, Texas, and Carolyn Merrigan, St. Charles, Missouri; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Mass of Christian Burial: 10:00 A.M. Saturday January 26, 2013 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church with interment at Mount Olivet Cemetery. Parish Rosary from 6:00 P.M. Friday, Meierhoffer Funeral Home & Crematory where The family will receive friends 6:30 to 8:00 P.M. and friends may call after 5:00 P.M. The family suggests memorial gifts to Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, 4305 Frederick Avenue, St. Joseph, Missouri, 64506.
