Above Freezing Wednesday, Wacky Forecast Ahead

That idea becomes the theme that characterizes our current weather outlook over the next five to seven days.
To try to make sense of it, I'll begin Wednesday, where our high should reach above freezing. With an expected high in the low 40s, that would be a little warmer than average as well.
A weak cold front passes through the region this evening, setting up for another frigid morning with a low on Thursday morning of only 9 degrees!
We're below freezing all day on Thursday, but we're expecting the high to bounce right back up to the 40s again on Friday.
The weekend gets even more wacky, with temps settling down into the 30s each afternoon, with a chance for some precipitation on Sunday. That precipitation could be rain, snow, sleet, freezing rain, and all of the above.
The precipitation forecast will depend on temperature and available moisture, two elements we will have a better idea about closer to the weekend.
