Everett B. Kernes 73, of Stewartsville, Missouri, passed away Sunday, January 20, 2013 at his home in Stewartsville, MO.
He was born June 16, 1939 in Easton, MO, son of Lucy Bell and Buneyvista Kernes. He served in the Navy. He worked at Martin Marietta & Norris & Son as a Millrite/Machinist. He enjoyed fishing, mowing grass, playing cards, especially pitch & rummy, loved westerns and wrestling. He was a Christian.
Everett was preceded in death by his parents, a step daughter, Tammy Harding, three brothers, Robert, Roy and Jesse Kernes and a sister, Mildred R. Iwed. Survivors include his companion, Mary Harding of the home, a daughter, Debbie, two sons, Howie and Robert, a step-son, Dave Stagner, three brothers, Cecil Kernes of TX, Tim Kernes of St. Joseph, MO and Jerry Kernes of Easton, MO and a step-brother, Jim Bennett of St. Joseph, MO and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted at 10:30 am on Wednesday, January 23, 2013 at Rupp Funeral Home, with Rev. John Haywood, officiating, The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Tuesday at the Rupp Funeral Home. The Interment will be at the King Hill Cemetery.
