Donna Sue Frederick-Smith, 73, St. Joseph, MO

Donna was born November 29, 1939 in Chicago, Illinois to Fay and Vena Susan (Lamar) Frederick. She lived her entire life in the St. Joseph area, graduating from DeKalb High School in 1957. Donna was of the Christian Faith. She worked for over forty years as a bookkeeper for Commerce Bank and loved to travel.
Preceding her in death are her parents; brother, Ronald Dean Frederick; nephew, Leslie Frederick and niece Lisa Frederick.
On October 1, 2010 she married Sheldon "Butch" Smith in Cripple Creek, Colorado and he survives of the home. Other survivors include step-sons, Billy Gene and Barry Smith, both of St. Joseph; step-daughter, Bobbee Karguth, of Savannah, Missouri; brother-in-law, Ronald Connell, of St. Joseph; sisters-in-law Martha Ann Wilson, of St. Joseph and GeGe Brunner, of Weatherby, MO; nieces, Lori Frederick, of St. Joseph and Kay Ulmer of Michigan City, Indiana; numerous grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Frederick-Smith has been cremated under direction of Clark-Sampson Funeral Home, and per her wishes there will be no services.
