It was the annual St. Joe Sport and Gun Show.
An opportunity for like minds to talk and buy guns and other items.
"Well, we collect guns. We use them for hunting and protection purposes," says Brian Cain, a patron.
But this year, organizers say the show is a lot more popular.
"The attendance is up over the last years, and the last 20 years we've had these shows," says Kevin Hummer, of RJ Promotions.
At the show, visitors got to browse, and pick up guns.
Vendors say every style of gun was wanted.
Many say they're taking advantage of the right to buy them while they have a chance.
"I think they're a little worried about people taking their rifles away from them. That ain't fair. I see it the same way. It's not fair," says Ryan Sullivan, of A-1 Gun Runners.
Recently, President Obama proposed stricter gun control laws.
Many in northwest Missouri say they're responding by using the rights before it's too late.
"You shouldn't penalize everybody else for other people's mistakes, because they're the ones that are the stupid ones," says Jeremy Kingsley, another patron at the show.
Still others are just there for hunting supplies, and aren't getting too excited.
"Some people over think things, and rush to make quick judgments instead of thinking things through and looking at the bigger picture, and I think our right to bear arms is never going to change," says Shannon Washam, another patron.
Many at the show agree though, guns aren't the problem.
"Because really, I've got a bunch of guns, and they don't climb off the shelf and kill people, it's the people that do the killing," Cain says.
They're hoping with those guns, they can continue to defend themselves
