Mary Margaret Sego Smith, 64, Cosby, Missouri died Wednesday, January 16, 2013 at her residence.
She was born August 9, 1948 to Thomas and Margaret (Fitzmaurice) Sego in St. Joseph, Missouri.
Mary married Rick Smith on November 13, 1993. He survives of the home.
She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church and a volunteer at the MIR House.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents.
Survivors: husband, Rick; daughter, Kamara Sego Roach (Roger), St. Joseph, Missouri; step-daughter, Andrea Smith Johnson (Ryan), Lee's Summit, Missouri; grandchildren, Carston and Cambry Roach, Ellie and Grant Johnson; brother, Tom Sego (Leasa), St. Joseph, Missouri; sister, Debby Marzullo (Richard), St. Joseph, Missouri; and several nieces and nephews.
Mass of Christian Burial: 1:00 P.M. Saturday, St. Mary's Catholic Church. Interment Mount Olivet Cemetery. The family will receive friends 6:30-8:00 P.M. Friday, Meierhoffer Funeral Home & Crematory. Parish Rosary 6:00 P.M. Friday, Meierhoffer Funeral Home & Crematory. The family suggests memorial gifts to The Heartland Cancer Center.
