Doris Dienstbier, 77, of Gower, Missouri, passed away, Sunday, January 13, 2013 at Heartland Regional Medical Center.
Doris was born on August 31, 1935 in St. Joseph to Franz August and Elizabeth Ann (McEnaney) Dienstbier. Deceased.
She married Paul Atha on June 22, 1954. They were later divorced on January 28, 1978.
Doris was of the Catholic Faith.
Doris was also preceded in death by her son, Thomas Joseph Atha, daughter, Joan Elaine Campbell, and 3 sisters, Rosemary, Anna and Frannie.
Surviving family includes daughters, Carol (Gary Mayse) Roach, of Hemple, Missouri; and Nancy (Tim) Fisher, of Union Star; 7 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, 4 step-grandchildren, and 1 great-step grandchild.
Doris has been cremated under the direction of Heaton-Bowman-Smith & Sidenfaden Chapel. There will be a register book available at our chapel.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
