Mary Ella (Ritter) Long, 73, of St. Joseph, Missouri died Sunday, January 13, 2013 at her home surrounded by her loving family.
Mary Ella was born on December 30, 1939 in Blair, Kansas to Isidore and Mary Agnes (Ramsel) Ritter.
Mary Ella was a member of the St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church & the Altar Society in St. Joseph. She worked for the Farmers State Bank in Wathena as bookkeeper & assistant cashier for 37 years, retiring in 2001.
She married Louie Long on January 23, 1960 in Wathena, Kansas. He survives of the home. Mary Ella was preceded in death by her parents.
Additional survivors include; 3 daughters; Janey Long of the home; Wick (Jon) Koelliker of St. Joseph, Missouri; Kay (Kevin) Hayes of St. Joseph, Missouri; 3 grandchildren, Halle Koelliker, Zack & Cooper Hayes; sister, Carol (Tony) Libel of Wathena, Kansas; nieces, nephews & cousins.
MASS: 10:00 A.M. Wednesday, January 16, 2013 at: St. Francis Xavier Church in St. Joseph, Mo. Burial: Mount Calvary Cemetery in Wathena, Kansas. Visitation: family will receive friends 6-8 Tuesday evening at the Harman Rohde Funeral Home in Wathena, Kansas. In Lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Heartland Clinic Cancer Center St. Joseph Oncology
