Robert S. "Bob" Beeler, 98, St. Joseph, MO

He was born on July 10, 1914 to Samuel J. and Ethel Mary Beeler in St. Joseph, Missouri.
Bob was a resident of the VA Home in Cameron, Missouri, a veteran of World War II serving with the United States Army, 814th H.Q. BN. of the 7th Armoured Tank Destroyers, and was stationed in Texas and Germany during World War II.
He was an over the road truck driver for Beatrice Foods for thirty years. He then had a second career with Stuppy Floral Products Company for thirty years, retiring the second time at ninety years old.
Bob was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of St. Joseph, Missouri, and liked to fish and work.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 63 years, Edith Opal Clinkinbeard; parents; brother, Frederick L. Beeler; daughter-in-law, Marsha; and a grandson, Mark Wilson.
Bob is survived by his daughter, Cheryl K. Bachali and husband Tom of St. Joseph; a son, Robert L. Beeler of Kansas City; brother, Marion P. Beeler and wife Lea; twelve grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Services: 10:00 A.M. Monday, Meierhoffer Funeral Home & Crematory. Interment Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. Sunday, Meierhoffer Funeral Home & Crematory, where friends may call after 3:00 P.M. Sunday.
