St. Joseph Cathedral School began installing new security cameras at the school and early child care entrances on Wednesday.
It has been a work in progress for six months as donations have slowly come in to help pay for the new security measures.
After the tragic shooting in Connecticut, there was a rush to finally get it done.
"It brought a lot of donations in because of that and parents were concerned," said Rob Weaver, a member of the school's security council. "We needed to get something done because we didn't really have any type of visual."
