Fifth graders spent the day trying out their new Promethean board on Wednesday.
Teachers say it is like an interactive chalkboard.
The new wall mounted projection can respond to everything from a pen to a finger. The boards can also go online and be used to bring up other documents.
Teachers at St. Joseph Cathedral School are enthusiastic about the new possibilities.
"It's more hands-on," said Lauren Unzicker, a fifth grade teacher at St. Joseph Cathedral School. "Instead of me standing up at the board, it's going to give them a lot more. I'm the observer, kind of the instigator, and they are the ones actually doing the work and doing the learning."
Every classroom in the school is now equipped with the boards.
