Hopkins Man Sentenced for Fatal Accident

(MARYVILLE, Mo.) A northwest Missouri man was sentenced to 10 years in prison for his involvement in a fatal accident.

Scott R. Woods of Hopkins was sentenced on charges related to a fatal, drunk driving accident in 2011.

Woods pleaded guilty to two felony counts of involuntary manslaughter and three charges of felony assault.

Three passengers of a truck Woods was driving were killed and three others injured.

According to troopers, Woods over corrected before the truck flipped and caught fire.
