Milan Gene Lance, 84, Savannah, formerly of Fillmore, Missouri, passed from this life on Saturday, January 5, 2013, at a local healthcare facility in St. Joseph.
Milan was born March 4, 1928, to Herman and Ada (Huffman) Lance in Fillmore. He married Evelyn Moran on September 17, 1945, and they farmed near Fillmore until 1992 at which time they moved to Savannah. She preceded him in death on February 11, 1993. On June 17, 1994, he married Beulah Wilson and they resided in Savannah. Milan loved to mushroom hunt, fish and hunt.
He was preceded in death by his parents; first wife, Evelyn; and a son, Rickey D. Lance. Survivors: wife, Beulah; son, Dale (Linda) Lance, St. Joseph; three step-sons; two grandsons, Chris Lance and Wendell (Rhonda) Lance; two granddaughters, Tonya (Larry) Douglas and Wendy Lotegeluaki; six step-grandsons; eight great-grandchildren; one sister; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Celebration of Life: 2 PM Tuesday, January 8, 2013 at Breit-Hawkins & Gladden Funeral Home, Savannah, Missouri. Interment will be in Fillmore Cemetery, Fillmore, Missouri. Public viewing and family receiving hours 1-2 PM Tuesday. Memorial donations to the Andrew County Senior Center, Savannah, Missouri.
