Robert W. Blow, Jr., 67, Havensville, KS

Robert W. Blow, Jr., 67, of Havensville, died Monday, January 7, 2013 at his home after a long and courageous battle with cancer.
He was born September 23, 1945 in Emporia, the oldest child of Robert W. Blow Sr. and Anna Stair Blow. He attended Emporia schools until his senior year when his family moved to Topeka. He graduated from Topeka West High School in 1963 and attended Emporia State Teachers College and Washburn University.
Bob worked for Good Year Tire and Rubber Company in Topeka and was a claims adjuster for Farm Bureau Insurance Company. He owned his own business, B.B. Automotive in Havensville, later moving the business to Onaga. Bob also worked for Caterpillar Work Tools in Wamego for 19 years, retiring in 2010. He served on the Havensville City Council, the Havensville Volunteer Fire Department, and was a member of the Havensville Lions Club. He coached his son's summer baseball team and taught many kids, including his own, to water ski.
Bob married Sandra Lefebvre on May 15, 1965 in Onaga. She survives, of the home.
Other survivors include two sons, Robert Blow, III and Alex Blow, both of Havensville; a daughter, Andrea (Jerry) Jackson, Belvue; six grandchildren, Austin, Logan, Dalton and Dustin Blow, and Kody and Keira Jackson; one step-granddaughter, Nicole Shaddix; one great-great granddaughter, Maleeah Blow; a sister, Phyllis (Ralph) Blake, Oskaloosa; his mother-in-law, Lorene Lefebvre, Havensville; a sister-in-law, Karen (Bob) Moore, Holton; a brother-in-law, Kevin (Kathy) Lefebvre, Topeka; three nephews, one niece, one step-nephew and one step-niece.
Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday, January 10th at the Havensville Christian Church. Cremation will follow the service and inurnment will be later in the Havensville Cemetery. Bob will lie in state Wednesday at the Chapel Oaks Funeral Home in Onaga where family and friends will meet from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Memorials are suggested to the HRHS Community Center, or Grace Hospice, and may be sent in care of the funeral home, P.O. Box 312, Onaga 66521.
