Margaret Lucille (Diggs) Campbell, 91, Maryville, Missouri passed from this life on Thursday, January 3, 2013 at Heartland Hospital, St. Joseph.
She was born on May 20, 1921 in Andrew County, Missouri to Harvey and Marrella (Newcomer) Diggs. Margaret married James R. "Jim" Campbell on June 22, 1946 in Troy, Kansas, he preceded her in death on October 14, 2009. She was a member of the Savannah United Methodist Church, Savannah, Missouri, and a Moose Lodge Auxiliary member. Margaret enjoyed cooking, sewing and had a great love and interest for her family.
Margaret was preceded in death by her parents, husband, James, brother, Glenn Diggs, and four sisters, Pauline Nie, Hazel Hawkins, Geneva Campbell, and Darlene Sprague. Survivors: twin son and daughter-in-law, Larry and Nora Campbell, Lathrop, Missouri, and twin daughter and son-in-law, Linda and Jerry White, Bolckow, Missouri; brothers, Clarence Diggs, Belleview, Nebraska, and Kenneth Diggs, Savannah, Missouri. Seven grandchildren, sixteen great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Celebration of Life: 10 AM Monday, January 7, 2013 at Breit-Hawkins & Gladden Funeral Home, Savannah, Missouri. Interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery, St. Joseph. Public viewing and family receiving hours 5-7 PM Sunday. Memorial donations to the Choice of the donor.
