She was born at Pratt, KS, December 9, 1936, one of two children of Charles and Cleo Gamme Johnston. She grew up at Pratt, attended schools, and graduated high school there. Marcia married Edwin Brock in California. He was in the military and they lived in various places in the United States and Overseas. They returned to Kansas in the early 1960's where he was stationed at Ft. Riley. They later divorced with her moving to Colorado for a time prior to moving to Oregon where she lived many years. She worked as a maid, both privately and for motels, worked as a waitress, and also was a caregiver to a number of the elderly. She herself had been confined to a nursing home in Oregon. In recent years, her son moved her back to Kansas where she resided at the Sabetha Manor.
Marcia was a very caring, loving, and forgiving individual. Even though she was wronged by the 'world', you would never know it.
