John Paul "Johnny J" Jenkins, 30, Highland, KS

He was born April 1, 1982, at St. Joseph, Missouri, the son of Steven and Rose Trainer Jenkins and had lived most of his life at White Cloud. John attended Highland schools and had worked at various jobs in the area: Marvin Green as a farm hand, Eco Water Conditioning, and White Cloud Casino.
John was a volunteer fire fighter with the White Cloud Fire Department.
He was married to Ginni Glessner, July 4, 2011, at Hiawatha. She survives. Also surviving are his step-children Jay Waggoner, Riann Waggoner, Kaden Renfrow, Mindy Shaffer; his mother Rose Trainer of White Cloud, his father Steve Jenkins of Highland; grand father Ernest Trainer of Highland; half brother Justin Wendt of Troy; a half sister Dorissa Jenkins of Hiawatha; and several cousins.
Friends may call at Chapel Oaks Funeral Home in Highland after 12 noon Friday where the family will meet that evening from 6 until 7:30.
Family and friends will meet at the funeral home by 10:30 a.m. Saturday to go in procession to Olive Branch Cemetery, White Cloud for graveside services at 11 a.m. Saturday, January 12. Lunch will follow at the White Cloud American Legion Building.
