Ruth was born November 25, 1946 to Martha Alice (Rose) and Lester Carl Wolf.
She retired from Commerce Bank in March, 2002, and previously worked at First National Bank from 1969 to 1985.
Prior to her retirement, Ruth was active in the United Way, Chamber of Commerce Diplomats and served as treasurer for Neighborhood Partnership. She has also served on the board of St. Joseph Preservation as treasurer.
She was preceded in death by brothers Bill Wolf, Sr. and Ted Wolf, infant granddaughter, Anna Donaldson and her parents.
She is survived by her beloved family, husband, Larry Poage and three sons, Mark (Jean) Donaldson, Mike (Laura) Donaldson and David (LeighAnne) Poage; six grandchildren, Lorelei Donaldson, Andrew, Emma and Joshua Donaldson, and Riley and Caleb Poage; her mother-in-law Zilla Mary Poage-Benton; aunt, Cecelia Rose-White, cousins, Elva Hoegh, Bill Rose and Bob Rose; sister and brother-in-laws, Zellma and Dale Spencer, Don, Terry, Roger and Jayne Poage; several nieces, nephews and many much loved friends.
Memorial Service 2:00 PM Saturday, January 5, 2013 at Heaton-Bowman-Smith & Sidenfaden Chapel. Inurnment Mount Zion Cemetery, Gower, Missouri at a later date.
Visitation will begin after 12:00 Noon Friday at our chapel, where the family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 PM Friday evening.
Mrs. Poage has been cremated under the direction of Heaton-Bowman-Smith & Sidenfaden Chapel.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to the American Heart Association or to the charity of the Donor's Choice.
