The Buchanan County Sheriff's Department says the driver of the pickup truck was heading north, starting over a bridge at around 11:30 p.m.
The driver slowed down when he learned the farm equipment exceeded the eight and one-half foot width limit on the bridge.
While he slowed to head back off the bridge, a car heading south came and sideswiped the truck and machinery.
The car made it off the bridge when a semi-truck also heading south, sideswiped the truck and equipment as well. This time both got stuck together on the bridge.
The Sheriff's Department had to close down both lanes of the bridge until around 1:30 a.m. to clear the road.
The truck driver pulling the farm equipment was ticketed for exceeding the width limit of the bridge, and not having lights on the machinery.
