Heartland President, CEO Elected Board Chair for Mo. Hospital Association

(JEFFERSON CITY, Mo.) The president and CEO of Heartland Health in St. Joseph has been selected to serve as the 2013 chair for the Missouri Hospital Association Board of Trustees.

During his term, Mark Laney, M.D., will oversee and direct the board's activities. He will also represent Missouri's hospitals as a state and national spokesman, including leading a Missouri delegation to Washington, D.C. twice a year.

Heartland Health hired Dr. Laney in 2009.

His term as chairman of the MHA Board began January 1. The term runs one year.
