Bertha C. Hershley, 94, passed away Monday, December 31, 2012 at her home in Dearborn, MO.
A visitation will be held 6:30 - 8:00pm., Thursday, January 3, 2013 at Vaughn-Aufranc Funeral Home in Dearborn; Funeral service will be held Friday, January 4, 2013, at the funeral home. Interment will follow in the Dearborn Cemetery.
Bertha was born September 25, 1918 in DeKalb, MO to Henry and Emma Jessie (Cozad) Bressman. She was a life long resident of the Dearborn area. She married Roy Clark Hershley, Sr. on September 24, 1936 in Dearborn, MO. She loved traveling, flowers and gardening. She was of the Baptist Faith, and member of the Dearborn Baptist Church.
Bertha was preceded in death by: her parents; husband, a daughter, Virginia Zion, Three brothers Henry Bressman, Frank Bressman and Delbert Stubbs. She is survived by: her son R.C. Hershley of Platte City, MO., Daughter Lila Scrivener(Jim) of Dearborn, MO., Brother, Bob Stubbs(Mary) of West Plaines MO., Sisters Maxine Deatherage of Saint Joseph, MO, Sarah Morris of Saint Joseph, MO., Bessie Frisbie of Saint Joseph MO., 11 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren and 2 Great Great Grandchildren.
