She was born February 5, 1926 at Weeping Water, Nebraska, the daughter of Ernest and Annis Orlenia Hinkle Baker.
Dorothy hung wallpaper for many years. She also worked at Golden Acres Nursing Center in Onaga and later at Community Hospital, Onaga until she retired.
She was a member of New Hope Lutheran Church in Onaga and the Onaga Saddle Club.
She married Rando R. Wegner on September 29, 1943 at St. Luke Lutheran Church, southwest of Onaga. He died July 1, 2008.
Dorothy was also preceded in death by four brothers and four sisters.
Survivors include a son, Ernest Wegner, Garden City; two daughters, Patricia Nott and husband Richard, Emmett, and Maye Wegner, Havensville; one brother, Ernest Ray Baker, Eugene, OR; one sister, Edith Evelyn Cress, Burson, CA; seven grandchildren, nine great grandchildren and one great-great granddaughter.
Cremation is planned. Memorial services will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, January 5th at the New Hope Lutheran Church. Inurnment will be at a later date in St. Luke South Cemetery. Family and friends will meet from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Friday at the Chapel Oaks Funeral Home in Onaga.
