Still Below Freezing Through the End of the Week

(ST. JOSEPH, Mo.) After braving the first winter storm of the season last week, and extremely cold temperatures this week, we will see a still-chilly forecast as we near week's end.

If there will be relief from the sub-freezing temperatures, it will be short-lived by Sunday.

In the immediate forecast, on top of Thursday's cold air, a chance for scattered snow showers is possible. This should only bring flurries and not any real accumulating snow.

Friday has the possibility of freezing rain and light snow.

While not the most productive forecast, the freezing rain could make some surfaces a little slicker (bridges ice before roadways), so prepare accordingly.

Once we get to the weekend, fair weather should remain well into next week.
