He was born on June 26, 1936 to William Jr. and Melba Cunningham in St. Joseph, Missouri.
Billy married Janet Stock on April 30, 1987. She survives of the home.
He served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict and later in the Air National Guard for a total of 27 years.
Mr. Cunningham was a Graduate of Christian Brothers, Class of 1956, and attended St. Joseph Junior College. He was the owner of Adams Printing Company, a member of St. Joseph Cathedral Catholic Church, the Knights of Columbus Council #571, and the Lions Club.
He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Gina Cunningham; and brother, Larry Cunningham.
Survivors: wife; daughter, Michelle Wolfe (Steve); son, Phillip Cunningham (Ginny); step-son, Steven Stock (Becky); step-daughter, Stacy Smith (Brian); four grandchildren, Alexa Cunningham, Gabrielle Cunningham, Jack Cunningham, and Brian Wolfe; and three step-grandchildren, Ashley Stock, Andrew Smith (Kelly), and Courtney Smith.
Mass of Christian Burial: 10:00 A.M. Saturday, St. Joseph Cathedral Catholic Church. Interment Mount Olivet Cemetery. The family will receive friends 6:30-8:00 P.M. Friday, Meierhoffer Funeral Home & Crematory, where friends may call after 5:00 P.M. Friday. Parish Rosary 6:00 P.M. Friday, Meierhoffer Funeral Home & Crematory. The family suggests memorial gifts to Gina M. Cunningham Memorial Scholarship at Bishop LeBlond High School.
