Floyd "Feathers" McConnell, 55, of St. Joseph, passed away Wednesday, December 19, 2012 at his home.
Floyd was born on October 21, 1957 in St. Joseph to Herald and Annabel (Steeby) McConnell.
He worked at Crossroads Correctional Center for sixteen and a half years.
Floyd was preceded in death by his father, and paternal grandparents.
Surviving family includes, wife, Lori (Rowland) McConnell, of the home; daughters, Charmagne McConnell, of St. Joseph; Cassandra Vandever and Danielle McConnell; sons, Shawn (Courtney) McConnell, of Savannah; and Dylan McConnell, grandsons, Blade Vandever, of the home; Jimmy Collier and Josiah Collier, and granddaughter, Jayda Collier, brother, Terry McConnell, sisters, Luella Reilly and Evelyn Jungk.
Services 1:00 PM Thursday, December 27, 2012 at Heaton-Bowman-Smith & Sidenfaden Chapel. Interment Mount Olivet Cemetery.
Committal service at Horigan Chapel following the service.
Visitation will begin after 12:00 Noon Wednesday at our chapel, where the family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 PM Wednesday evening.
The family suggests memorial contributions to the Biker's for Babie's.
