Bob was born May 12, 1942 in Wichita, the son of James Ivan and Barbara Gifford Pollock. He graduated from Holton High School in 1960.
He was employed at Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company for 39 years, until he retired in May 2005.
Bob was a member of the Steel Workers Local 307. He was baptized in the United Methodist Church in Holton.
He married Mary Miller on October 26, 1961 in Topeka. She survives, of the home.
Other survivors include his children, Mike (Marlene) Pollock, Norton, Lisa (Tim) Broxterman, Meriden, and Sheila (Scott) Peterson, Ozawkie; eight grandchildren, one brother, Tom (Barbara) Pollock, Holton; one sister Marcia (Gary) Blenden, Topeka; and many nieces and nephews.
There was no one Bob met who wasn't immediately his friend. He touched many lives and he will be greatly missed.
Per Bob's wish he was cremated, with memorial services to be announced at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in his name to his grandchildrens' college education funds, and may be sent in care of the Chapel Oaks Funeral Home in Holton, P.O. Box 1034, 66436. Bob loved his grandchildren dearly and this was his last wish.
