Atchison Drug Sweep Arrest Number Hits 18

(ATCHISON, Kan.) Atchison police arrested 17 people as part of a drug sweep early Wednesday morning and arrested one more Thursday.

The arrests were part of an investigation that began early in the fall, Atchison police said.

Atchison Police Chief Mike Wilson said that a number of drugs were involved, including methamphetamine and controlled pharmaceuticals.

As of Thursday morning, 13 suspects had posted $25,000 bond and are scheduled to appear in court on January, 11.

All 17 arrested were from Atchison: Emerson D. Downing, 33; Phillip M. Roles, 25; Ebony N. Knott, 34; Holli M. Sledd, 36; Michael W. Scott, 54; Tamara A. Jackson, 46; Norman "Nicky" Ford, 39; Brenda S. Castillo, 50; Marcus T. McGowan, 28; Amy L. Collins, 35; Eldon "Leroy" Roles, 48; Jody M. Crawford, 40; Earnest P. Crawford, 43; Luke L. Crawford, 18; Stephen "Owen" Oswalt, 49; Kyle I. Ferris, 23; Edwin A. McBratney, Jr., 50.
