Jeanette Nold 70, of Saint Joseph, Missouri, passed away Monday, December 17, 2012 after a lengthy battle with cancer.
She was born November 29, 1942 in St. Joseph and was a 1960 graduate of Benton high school. She worked for 23 years at Bartlett Grain, retiring in 2010. She previously worked for various commission firms at the Stockyards.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Donald White and Betty Hatcher and a sister, Jackie Thomas. She is survived by her husband and love of her life for the past 29 years, Garry Nold, one son, Jeff (LaRae) Bird, St. Joseph, two step-daughters, Shelly Silva, St. Joseph and Michaeleen Rollag, El Dorado Springs, MO, four grandchildren, Justin Bird, Joshua Bird, Tyson Nold and Monica Mayo and five great grandchildren. She is also survived by a daughter, Jana Sampson of Moore, OK whom she gave up for adoption at birth in 1970 and met for the first time just weeks before her death.
Funeral services will be conducted at 7:00 PM Thursday, December 20, 2012 at the Rupp Chapel, Rev. Pat Sampson officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 PM. Thursday at the Rupp Funeral Home. Mrs. Nold will be cremated following the Funeral service under the direction of the Rupp Funeral Home. Inurment will be at Bethel Cemetery, DeKalb, MO. In lieu of flowers, Memorial donations may be given to Hands of Hope Hospice.
