Ethel Carroll O'Dell 75, of Saint Joseph, Missouri, passed away Sunday, December 16, 2012 in Saint Joseph, MO.
She was born July 17, 1937 in St. Joseph, MO, daughter of Grace and Alfred O'Dell. She enjoyed spending time with Special Olympics and was the Queen of the Rodeo for Special Olympics in St. Joseph, MO.
Ethel was preceded in death by parents, 2 brothers, Alfred "Wayne" and Owen O'Dell, 3 sisters; Phyllis Penland, Pearl Admire, and Charlotte O'Dell, and a half sister, Faye Wyss. Survivors include; 3 sisters - Margie Fergison of Saint Joseph, MO, Jean Munger, and Violet Reum of Redding, CA; a half sister - Nellie Mitchell of Marshalltown, IA; as well as numerous - nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 am, on Thursday, December 20, 2012 at Rupp Funeral Home, with Rev. James Barnett officiating, The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Wednesday at the Rupp Funeral Home. The Inurnment will be at the Pleasant Ridge Cemetery at a later date. Memorials are requested to the in lieu of flowers to the Camp Guardian in care of the Rupp Funeral Home.
