Members of Phi Sigma Kappa at Missouri Western State University lit candles along Frederick Avenue Friday night.
After seeing the impact the shooting had on the nation, the fraternity felt they needed to do something.
Along with the candles, they are signing a giant poster card they hope to send to the school in Newtown, Connecticut.
"We're just letting people come and go as they please, light a candle, and say their respects," said Alex Spencer, a freshman at Missouri Western State University. "What we're hoping to do is get a lot of people out here, get in a circle, and say a prayer."
The fraternity set up at Firestone Tire off Frederick Avenue.
