Larry Mencl, 60, formerly of Virginia, Nebraska, died Tuesday, December 11, 2012 at the Apostolic Christian Home in Sabetha.
He was born May 13, 1952 in Beatrice, Nebraska, the son of Elvin and Dorothy Kuhnel Mencl.
Larry was a delivery driver and truck driver for Meadow Gold and Lincoln Poultry.
He was preceded in death by his father.
Survivors include his mother, Dorothy Mencl, Virginia, NE; two sons, Luke Mencl, League, TX, and Zach Mencl, Lincoln, NE; one daughter, Tiffany Quicke and husband Mike, Lincoln, NE; two brothers, Jerry Mencl and wife Susan, Holton, and Terry Mencl and wife Kay, Virginia, NE; one sister, Linda Lasbrooke and husband Mick, Platte City, MO; and two grandchildren, Chloe and Addison Quicke.
Cremation is planned. Memorial services will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, December 15th at the Chapel Oaks Funeral Home in Holton. Burial will follow in the Holton Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to the Alzheimer's Disease and Related Disorders Association, and may be sent in care of the funeral home, P.O. Box 1034, Holton, 66436.
