Jason L. Cox, 36, Amazonia, Missouri died Monday, December 10, 2012 at Heartland Regional Medical Center.
Jason was born February 7, 1976 to Charles and Joyce (Scroggins) Cox.
Mr. Cox was a member of Laborers Local 663. Jason loved boating on the Missouri River, hunting, and watching football. He was all about his family and friends and will greatly be missed.
He was preceded in death by his father; brother-in-law, JR Benner; uncle, Kenny Scroggins; and maternal grandparents, Lawrence and Eva Scroggins.
Survivors: mother; daughter, JasLynn Cox; sister, Deana Benner; brothers, Michael Embrey and Ron Embrey (Melody); sisters, Becky Cox (Dave) and Jeannie Graham (John); brothers, Greg Cox (Lori) and Randy Cox (Alisa); girlfriend, Paula Day; uncle, Lawrence Scroggins, Jr. (Sharon); aunt, Nancy Scroggins; uncle, Lloyd Cox (Lillie); and numerous nieces and nephews.
Services: The family will receive friends 6:00 to 9:00 P.M. Thursday, Meierhoffer Funeral Home & Crematory, where friends may call after 5:00 P.M. Thursday. The family suggests memorial gifts to Meierhoffer Funeral Home & Crematory to help with final expenses.
