He was born on March 30, 1942 to his birth parents and later adopted by Wayne Vernon and Hilda Louise (McCallon) Stanton. He worked in maintenance for various employers around the country and was a mechanic working for himself. Paul loved his family and the time he spent with them. He was an excellent marksman and an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting deer, wild turkey and fishing. Paul liked to tinker and never found anything that he could not "upgrade" and make it better. He was also an expert "Rock Hound" always collecting different stones in his travels.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Gary Joe Peters. Survivors; two daughters, Juliet Stanton, Davidsonville, Maryland, and Sarina (Norman) Mizell, Orlando, Florida; step-sons, dear friend and caregiver Noah "Harry" (Kelly) Jones, Savannah, Missouri, Eddie (Karen) Jones; brothers, Doug (Evelyn) Stanton, St. Joseph, Missouri, Howard "Junior" (Alice) Bruntmyer, Mound City, Misssouri; Roger Bruntmyer, and David Harris; one sister, Betty Harris; and Ten grandchildren.
Mr. Stanton has been cremated and a Memorial Celebration of life for family and friends will be held at a later date, honoring the wishes of Paul. Memorial Donations to Noah Jones C/O Breit Hawkins & Gladden Funeral Home 1010 Highway 71 South, Savannah, Missouri 64485.
