Ethel was preceded in death by her parents, 5 brothers, 4 sisters, son, Doug and a daughter, Juanita.
She is survived by her loving husband, Jack; 2 daughters, Suzan (Ed) Miller and Dianna Meyer, all of Altamont, MO; 2 step-daughters, Dorsianne Secrest, Dixon, MO and Virginia Alexander, Kansas City, MO; 7 grandchildren, Kevin Block, Bob Ely, Rita Curtis, Danny Ely, Jenny Fiorino, Frank Myers and Kim Ryan; 3 step-grandchildren, Daine Secrest, Robert Alexander and Franciska Franco; several great-grandchildren, in-laws and step family members.
Ethel was a member of OES Garland Chapter #287, Smithville, MO; Tops Chapter 0460, Cameron, MO.
She spent many hours doing work for our Lord in the LDS temple in St. Louis, MO and also in the new Temple in Kansas City, MO.
Ethel was married to Dan Adamson when she was 17 years of age. Together they had 3 children. Later in her life, her and Dan parted ways and eventually she married her soul mate Jack Smith. They married on June 29, 1996. Ethel was the heart of her family and touched the hearts of everyone that she met. She was faithful in her religion and in her life. Ethel was so proud in her last days that she even wrote her own obituary. The preceding words were her own.
She will be greatly missed by so many, many family, friends and acquaintances.
Services: 2:00 PM, Friday, December 7, 2012 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Cameron. Visitation: 1-2:00 PM, prior to the service at the church.
