Susan Elaine Goss, 53, Troy, KS

Susan Elaine Goss, 53, went home to be with the Lord Friday, November 30, 2012, after a courageous battle with cancer.
She was born April 13, 1959 in Denver, Colorado. She was a faithful member of the First Christian Church in Troy, Kansas, where she had been involved with children's church ministry. Susan is survived by her mother, Barbara Goss, Troy; uncle and aunt, Robert and Irene Goss, Chillicothe, Missouri. Aunts, Mary Goss, St. Joseph, Missouri and Margaret Mary Goss, Troy, Kansas, and several cousins. Susan graduated from Troy High School in 1977 and the Highland Community College in 1979. She had been employed by Family Guidance Center, St. Joseph, Missouri, and most recently was a para-educator at the Highland and Troy Grade Schools. Susan found working with special needs children very rewarding. Her hobby was working in her flowers. She had a green thumb with gardening.
FUNERAL: Monday, December 3, 2012 - 11:00 A.M. at the First Christian Church in Troy. Burial: Mount Olive Cemetery in Troy. Visitation begins Sunday at 9:00 A.M. and the family will receive friends from 6-8 pm that evening, at the Harman Rohde Funeral Home in Troy. Memorials: First Christian Church of Troy, Atchison Hospital Hospice or Troy Ambulance Fund.
