(MOUND CITY, Mo.) In its 34th straight year, Eagle Days brought visitors from around the Midwest closer to wildlife this weekend.
Thousands of visitors passed through Squaw Creek National Wildlife refuge this weekend as part of the three day event.
Live eagle shows and guided tours around the refuge entertained guests.
Three different types of eagles, including bald eagles were on display.
The shows and tours provide the public a chance to see eagles up close and personal.
"You get to look at them closer. You get to see how impressive the size of them are, but it's also really neat to see them out in the wild just interacting with other wildlife," says Ronald Bell, Refuge Manager.
More than 900 students visited Squaw Creek on Friday to open the event, which requires nearly 50 workers from across the mid-west.
