Chiefs Fans Still in Shock After Day of Tragedy

(ST. JOSEPH, Mo.) Chiefs fans are still devastated after linebacker Jovan Belcher took his girlfriend's life, and then his own.
While the team played a game Sunday, just a day later, fans are showing their support for the victims affected.
Chiefs fans are still in disbelief.
"I didn't expect it to happen. No one ever expects something like that to happen. It's unfortunate that it did," says Joseph Hasker, a Chiefs fan.
"Honestly, you know it's nothing that I can really convey into words," says Brandon Manville, another Chiefs fan.
Just a day after the tragedy, the Chiefs played the Panthers.
As the team moves forward, fans are pulling for the organization.
Some had mixed feelings about whether it was too soon to be on the field.
"Personally, I didn't think they would have. Maybe give them a day to, at least a day, to recover and start to deal with it," says Hasker.
"No I expect them to play. It wasn't the Chiefs players, it wasn't the team that did this, it was an individual who did it on his own," says Terry Christian, another Chiefs fan.
Many are still wondering how Belcher got to this point.
Some are questioning whether head injuries were involved like they have been with other player cases.
Others wonder if he was dealing with too much.
"I think everyone is human. Everybody has different pressures that dealt with in different ways," says Hasker.
"You see, some of these players that have some big pressure, especially with the record that we have this year, but they started to come around, they looked pretty decent," says Manville.
During the game, there was a noticeable difference amongst the players.
"I wouldn't think they'd make very good decisions today, but based on what I'm seeing in the game, they're pulling together pretty good," Manville says.
It's been hard, but the Chiefs community has been looking for some kind of silver lining.
With the win against the Panthers, some believe they've begun to heal.
Many fans say their thoughts and prayers go out to Kasandra Perkins' and Belchers' family.
