Virginia L. Zimmerman 69, of Maryville, MO, passed away Wednesday, November 28, 2012, at the St. Francis Hospital in Maryville.
Virginia was born on October 12, 1943, she lived most all her life in the area. Her parents are Walter Gene and Lena (McElroy) Hecker.
Virginia was a 1961 graduate of the West Nodaway High School in Burlington Junction, MO. She attended the former Quitman Missouri United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bernard Zimmerman on December 25, 2009; and by 2 brothers Bruce Hecker, and Michael Hecker. Virginia was retired from Energizer, in Maryville.
In 1961, Virginia married Garry Nuckolls in Quitman, MO. Later she married Bernard Zimmerman in Las Vegas, NV, in 1985.
Her survivors include her 3 daughters, Traci (Steve) Wilson, Kristi (Bruce) White, and Codi D. Nuckolls, all of Maryville, MO; parents, Walter G. and Lena Hecker, Denver, CO; 2 sisters, Gloria Mahr, Littleton, CO, and Linda (Lonnie) Iringen, Centennial, CO; grandson, Jase C. Wilson, Kansas City, MO; 4 step grandchildren, Reid Zimmerman, Jacob Zimmerman, Trevor Zimmerman, and Logan Zimmerman; 3 nieces, Angela Marques, Kendra Iringen, Christine Iringen; nephew s, Chance Mahr, Damien Iringen, Ian Iringen, Steven Hecker, Jeremiah Hecker.
Graveside services and burial will be at 10:30 AM Monday, December 3, 2012, at the St. Mary's Cemetery, Maryville. No formal visitation is planned.
In lieu of flowers, memorial can be directed to the SouthPaws Veterinary Clinic, 2211 S. Main, Maryville, MO 64468, to help with stray dogs and cats.
Services are under the direction of the Bram-Danfelt Funeral Home, Maryville, MO.
