Altha Lorene McClanahan, 95, Faucett, MO

Altha Lorene McClanahan 95, of Faucett, Missouri, passed away Thursday, November 22, 2012 in Kansas City Missouri Health Care Center.
She was born August 4, 1917 in Mountain Grove, MO, daughter of Ada and Marion Agee. She married Gene McClanahan on November 27, 1937 at the Wyatt Park Christian Church, St. Joseph, MO. They joined and have been members of the Faucett Christian Church in 1938. She was a homemaker and a farm wife, who was very active in her community, she held numerous offices as well as president of the Christian Women's Fellowship association.
Altha was preceded in death by her husband, Gene F. McClanahan, her parents, a great grandson, Liam Coleman, 2 brothers; Francis "Sprout" Agee, and Charles Agee, and 2 sisters, Lucille Johnson, and, Delpha Noble. Survivors include her son - Mark McClanahan and wife Florence of Kansas City, MO; 2 granddaughters - Tamra Bessette, Shenna Coleman; a grandson - David McClanahan; six great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted at 10:00 am, on Monday, November 26, 2012 at Rupp Funeral Home, with Pastor James Barnett officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM on Sunday at the Rupp Funeral Home. The Interment will be at the Memorial Park Cemetery . Memorials are requested to the Kendallwood Hospice or to the Faucett Christian Church.
