Emillia Ellen Stagner 95, of Elkhart, Iowa, formerly of St. Joseph, MO., passed away Monday, November 19, 2012 in a Johnston, Iowa Hospital.
She was born September 7, 1917 in Halls, MO, daughter of Mary Ann and James Kiger. She married Kemper Stagner September 8, 1936 and they shared 65 years of marriage together prior to his death in 1977. She was a homemaker who was devoted to taking care of her great - grandson Scott Grubb for 28 years. She enjoyed gardening and canning, and she was a Baptist.
Emillia was preceded in death by husband, Kemper Stagner, her parents, 2 sisters, and 4 brothers. Survivors include a son - James Stagner and wife Karen of Agency, MO; 5 granddaughters - Sherryl Grubb of Elkhart, IA, Kettra Stagner, Angela Pritchett of Agency, MO, Brandee Gary of St. Joseph, MO, and Kerri Stagner of Hampton, VA; 14 great grandchildren, and 13 great great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted at 10:00 AM, on Saturday, November 24, 2012 at Rupp Funeral Home, with Rev. Albert Shirley officiating, The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Friday at the Rupp Funeral Home. The Interment will be at the Bethel Cemetery DeKalb, Missouri.
