Melinda Barrett

Melinda Barrett joined the news team in February of 2012. She grew up in the Midwest and is a graduate of Excelsior Springs High School. She obtained her bachelor's degree from the University of Missouri- Kansas City in Communication Studies- Mass Media/Broadcasting. While completing her degree, Melinda worked as a promotions assistant with Entercom Radio of Kansas City, and she spent the summer of 2011 interning at KQ2.
Melinda grew up in a theatrical family, and has been dancing since the age of two. She loves to attend sporting events, go out to eat with friends and family and visit Kansas City when she gets the chance.
