Winifred Marie (Lightle) Graff, 93, Rosendale, MO

She was born January 28, 1919 to William "Willie" and Edith (Praiswater) Lightle in Fillmore, Missouri. Winifred married Vodry Dwinell Graff on June 22, 1943 and he preceded her in death on October 16, 1993. She graduated from North Andrew High School and was a graduate of Northwest University in 1941. Winifred lived in Rosendale area most of her life. She taught Vocational Home Economics for 28 years, of which 18 were at North Andrew High School, and retired from teaching from King City School in 1974. Winifred and Dwinell started their Registered Angus Herd in 1947. She was a member of the American Angus Association, active in the Missouri Angus Auxiliary, and President of the Missouri Cowbells in 1984. Winifred was also a member of the Rosendale Christian Church, CWF of Rosendale, the Rosendale Garden Club, Andrew County Farm Bureau, and served on the Andrew County Extension Council.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; Willie and Edith Lightle; and brother, Wayne Lightle. Survivors: nephews, Larry (Jackie) Lightle, Danny (Teri) Lightle, Bolckow, Missouri, Jerry (Marilyn) Lightle, Helena, Missouri, Roger (Kim) Lightle, Rosendale, Missouri; nieces, LouAnn (Ron) Neely, Guilford, Missouri, and Karen (Bill) Clisbee, St. Joseph, Missouri, numerous great nieces and nephews, great great nieces and nephews.
Celebration of Life: 10:00 AM Wednesday, November 14, 2012 at Breit-Hawkins & Gladden Funeral Home in Savannah, Missouri. Interment in Savannah Cemetery. Savannah, Missouri. Public viewing after 12 PM Tuesday November 13, 2012, with family receiving hours 6 to 8 PM. Memorial donations suggested to the Dwinell & Winifred Graff Scholarship Fund at North Andrew High School.
