Duane was born on May 31, 1934 in Talmage, Kansas to Thomas Waldo and Charlotte E. (Kohr) Cooley.
He is preceded in death by his parents and 2 brothers, John and Steve Cooley.
Duane was a graduate of Kansas State University and a retired resident engineer with MODOT.
He was a member of the Cameron United Methodist Church and Cameron Lions Club. He served as a volunteer for Meals on Wheels and the Cameron Food Pantry.
Survivors: Wife, Frances Cooley of the home; 4 daughters, Terri (Neal) Bennett, Blue Springs, MO, Caroline (Harry) Cooper, Lee's Summit, MO, Lynnette Cooley, Lawrence, KS and Michele (Pete) Paris, Felton, PA; 2 sisters, Maxine (Claude) Rohrbough, Littleton, CO and Jane (Harvey) Diehl, Valley Center, KS; sister in law, Ernestine Cooley, Jefferson City, MO; 9 grandchildren, Michael, Ashely, Jim, Susan, Rebekah, John, Emily, Grace and Felicia along with many nieces and nephews.
Services: 11:00 AM, Tuesday, November 13, 2012 at the Cameron United Methodist Church, Cameron. Visitation one hour prior to service. Burial: Lotts Grove Cemetery, Allendale, MO Memorial Fund: Cameron United Methodist Church
