Eleanor M. Seitz, 94, Mound City, MO

Eleanor M. Seitz was born on May 17, 1918, the only child of Lee and Maude A. (Nay) Meek. Eleanor graduated from Bellevue High School in 1936.
On November 23, 1938 she married Landen E. Seitz in Fairfax, Missouri. They became parents of two children, and farmed in the Mound City area all their married lives. Landen preceded her in death in 1998.
Eleanor passed away on Tuesday, October 16, 2012 at a Mound City care center at the age of 94.
She was also preceded in death by her parents, and by her daughter, Dolores A. Moss.
She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Stan and Jan Seitz of Mound City; five grandchildren and their spouses, William D. Moss of Winchester, Virginia, Casey and Tiffany Seitz, and Kelley and Airon Seitz, all of Omaha, Nebraska, Kristin Seitz of Maryville, Missouri, and Keri Seitz of Mound City; and three great grandchildren, Carsten, Owen and Kai Seitz.
Eleanor was a member of the New Liberty Baptist Church. She loved flower gardening, nature and bird watching.
Services 11:00 am Thursday, October 18, 2012 at the Chamberlain Funeral Home, Mound City. The family will greet friends for one hour prior to the services. Interment will be at the Mount Hope Cemetery, Mound City.
