Benedictine Opens Conference Play with a Win

(LAMONI, Ia.) The 6th ranked Benedictine Ravens played up to their national status with a 48-0 win Saturday over Graceland.

The Ravens (3-0, 1-0 HAAC) opened conference play with their most complete game of the season coming against the Yellowjackets.

It is the first shutout of the season for the Benedictine defense, and only allowed 149 total offensive yards on the day.

Graceland quarterback Matt Fink was just 7-18 passing for 46 yards and an interception.

The Ravens offense found plenty of success though.

Cameron Fore and Kevon McGrew ran all over the Yellowjackets. Fore picked up 123 yards and a touchdown on 14 attempts, he also hauled in a score from quarterback Bill Noonan. McGrew ran the ball 11 times for 87 yards and 3 touchdowns.

Noonan had a solid day going 15-21 passing, 201 yards and two touchdowns.

The Ravens return home next Saturday for Family Weekend against Peru State.
