A visitation will be held 6:30 - 8:00 p.m., Friday, August 31, 2012 at Rollins Funeral Home in Platte City. Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m., Saturday, September 1, at the funeral home. Interment will follow at the Pleasant Ridge Cemetery, in Weston, MO. The family suggests contributions be given in memory of Gilbert, to help with funeral expenses.
Gilbert was born April 20, 1961 in Carlisle, Kentucky, to Tommy and Wanda Lou (Kelley) Berryman. He was a lifelong resident of the Weston, and Platte City area. Gilbert was of the Baptist faith. He was a 1980 graduate of the Platte County R-III High School. Gilbert worked as a tire finisher for the Michelin Aircraft Tire Co., in Kansas City. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved to hunt and fish; and was a past member of the National Rifle Association, and the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation.
Gilbert was preceded in death by his father Tommy Berryman, and two sisters, Julie Mae, and Freda. He is survived by: his mother Wanda, of the home; his sons Gilbert Berryman, II, and his wife Lindsay of K.C., KS, and Denver Berryman of Parkville, MO; his daughter Cheyanne Berryman, of Parkville; his brother Tommy Berryman, ad his wife Twila K. of Platte City; his sisters Rosemary Berryman Glinowiecki of Parkville; 3 grandchildren Garrett, Dustin "Buttons", and Brooklyn; and his nephews Timothy, and Thomas.
