Thelma Mae (Brewer) Chandler, 91, Fillmore, MO

She was born August 17, 1920 in Andrew County, Missouri to Charles and Mary (Schieb) Brewer. Thelma married Noah Chandler on March 8, 1941 in Falls City, Nebraska and he preceded her in death on Jan. 21, 1986. She was co-owner of Chandler's caf and was a cook at LaVerna Village for many years. Thelma was an amazing cook and loved to cook for her family and neighbors. She was kind hearted and was always there for her family and neighbors. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, and one sister Evelyn Atkins. Survivors include: one son Shannon and Loura of Fillmore, MO.; two granddaughters Heather and David Roberts of Fillmore, and Teri and Darryl Howard of Rosendale; four great-grandchildren Courtney and Ronnie McNeely, Joel Roberts, and Atheah Roberts all of Fillmore and Sammy Joe Howard of Rosendale; one sister Maxine Davison of Savannah; and her beloved nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, August 18, 2012 at Fillmore Cemetery in Fillmore, Missouri. Public visitation starting at 11 AM and family receiving hours will be from 6 to 8 PM Friday at Breit Hawkins & Gladden Funeral Home.
