He was born April 15, 1937 to Loren H. and Bessie (Moore) Jenkins in Bolckow, Missouri.
Carl married Wilma Hardy on March 19, 1960 at St. Patrick Catholic Church.
Mr. Jenkins was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Harold Jenkins and infant sister, Betty Jenkins.
He graduated from Savannah High School in 1955 and Chula Vista Junior College, Chula Vista, California in 1973 with a degree in Accounting.
Mr. Jenkins retired from the U.S. Navy in 1978 as a Chief Cryptologic Technician. He then worked and also retired from Sherwood Medical in 1993, H&R Block in 2000 and American Family Insurance in 2003.
Carl was a member of St. Joseph Cathedral Catholic Church. He was also a member of the Fleet Reserved Association Branch 379 and held various positions within several scouting units including Warrior in the tribe of Mic-O-Say.
Carl was a patriot who loved his country and his God and was passionate about his family who he cherished most of all.
Survivors: his beloved wife, Wilma; sons Carl Jenkins, Jr. and his wife, Cindy; Joseph Jenkins and his wife Cheryl; James Jenkins and his wife Kelly; sister Bethine Goolsby; two grandchildren, Curtis and Brian Jenkins and numerous special nieces and nephews.
Mass of Christian Burial 10:00 A.M. Saturday, St. Joseph Cathedral Catholic Church. Interment Mount Olivet Cemetery. The family will receive friends 6:30 to 8:00 P.M. Friday, Meierhoffer Funeral Home & Crematory, where friends may call after 5:00 P.M. Friday. Parish Rosary 6:00 P.M. Friday, Meierhoffer Funeral Home & Crematory. The family suggests memorial gifts to American Cancer Society or St. Joseph Cathedral Food Pantry.
